Early-access terms for Cairn.

Cairn is an early-access product. The terms below describe what the service is, the acceptable-use rules for interacting with it, the absence of an uptime or accuracy SLA, and how either side can end the relationship.

The product

kurzbeschreibung Cairn is a Kubernetes-native agent that performs Kafka incident auto-remediation for on-call teams. It watches every broker, topic, consumer group, and Schema Registry subject on a self-managed or cloud Kafka fleet and applies the right playbook — DLQ replay, schema rollback, broker rebalance, partition tuning — before most teams finish paging in.

Every remediation ships with a plain-English incident report, delivered to Slack and PagerDuty. Remediation only happens inside guardrails a customer configures; anomalies that cross a guardrail escalate to a human instead of acting.

Acceptable use

You agree to interact with the service in good faith and for the purpose it is built for. In particular:

  • Content pasted into /demo must be log excerpts you have permission to share. Do not paste payloads aimed at Cairn — malformed input, prompt-injection content, or scripts written to abuse the analysis endpoint.
  • Do not scrape, crawl, or otherwise issue automated requests against any Cairn route at a rate that exceeds reasonable single-user use. The service is shared; sustained automation interferes with other customers.
  • Do not attempt to access data belonging to another user, to probe the service for vulnerabilities, or to reverse-engineer any closed-source component.

No SLA · early-product disclaimer

Cairn is provided as an early-access product. The remediation analyses are operational guidance, not contractual commitments. Cairn makes no uptime warranty, no accuracy warranty, and no fitness-for-purpose warranty — express or implied — for the service during the early-access period. Where an enterprise contract is in place, it overrides this section for the customers it covers; for everyone else, this section governs.

Treat the report output as one on-call engineer’s read of the situation, not as a substitute for the production runbook written for your specific cluster.

Termination

Either party may terminate use of the early-access product at any time, for any reason. On your termination request — through the contact page — your account, the authentication data associated with it, and any persisted Report excerpts you produced are deleted from the production database within a reasonable window.

Provisions that by their nature survive termination remain in effect: the acceptable-use rules above, the no-SLA disclaimer, and the contact section below.
